It truely is magical in every way..from the sun setting to the ripples in the water. And the lone crane standing there by himself just makes this a wonderful shot.

  • Thanks! I love this shot. (Enough that I’m willing to overlook the blown highlights.) The whole day until right before sunset had been grim and rainy, then the clouds parted just in time to get this (and several of the other shots in my gallery). And with the light changing almost literally by the second, it was possible to get several different looks at the same scenes.

another stunning piece, i really love the colours in this shot

  • Thanks again. This is my favorite shot from that trip and one of my favorites ever (of mine at least). It was an interesting half hour or so, with the light changing faster than I could adjust for it. But I still came away with a lot of good stuff.

Love the way you composed this (horizon at two-thirds makes me swoon—does that sound southern? Or at least below the Mason-Dixon line?) and the golden hue is a stunner.

  • It would sound more Southern if it “gave you the vapors”. Thanks for the comment. This is a favorite of mine too.

  • Thanks so very much! This is one of my favorites out of my entire gallery. It’s been published twice on other sites, but until now had been largely ignored on RB.

This is gorgeous! We would love to have this in The Best of Red Bubble…Digital Art and Photography.

  • And now that it’s (finally!) been featured, you’ll get it. Of that you may be sure. But I’m trying to take it easy on you guys what with the backlog you’ve already got. I have a backlog of TBORB submission queued up, but since you mentioned this one specifically I’ll get it to the front of the line. Deal?
