About The Blue Mosque:
The Blue Mosque is one of the most-historical places in our country & in my city, Tabriz. The Blue Mosque, in northwest of Iran, is a monument that dates to the 15th century AD. It was designed by “Nematullah Ibn Muhammad Bavvab”, architect of prince “Jahan Shah Turkoman Salimi”, one of the Ghara Ghoyunlu dynasty. The mosque has recently partly restored. It is famous for its tilework and blue marble reliefs.

I know the government of my country (and yours) have worked bad (somehow) to making the name of our Iran so fearful, but it’s just a GAME. a very SAD game…

very nice photo, Mohsen! i love how no matter where my eye travels, it always seems to float back to the top left corner where the blue is!

and i was also reading the comment that Dave Sanders left on your page… I certainly agree that Bush is probably not the best president we’ve had. However, you, Mohsen, have shown a lot of maturity and grace in saying that, like everyone else, Bush is just an imperfect human. For being able to be above the politics of the situation, to be so diplomatic and fair, you have now earned my respect not just as a photographer, but also as a person. Very glad to have someone like you on RedBubble!

ps – you might pray to Allah, and I pray to Jesus…. we might have different ideas about the God we worship, but I know our prayers are the same… it will be a sad, sad day if the United States and Iran end up going to war – there would be no real winning in a conflict like that; only a very tragic loss. I hope it doesn’t come to that

Have been there many years ago and still remember it was the later part of the day and the sun was just about going down across the western sky….. and the dome of the mosque simply odminated the sky with its imposing dome silhouette!

    Thanks for sharing.

  • Eyal Nahmias

    Eyal Nahmias

wonderful composition, lines, texture and tonality. there is a strong graphical elements that draws the viewer towards the left with the single blue color splash and the converging and parting lines from the bricks and mortar. Maybe darkening just a tad the back dome in the bg so it doesn’t bland as much with the white sky. A well captured image. Thanks for sharing with the Art of the Middle East group.
