on vellum? i’ve never painted on vellum – how is it to paint on?

hi Marion. well, vellum is probably used more for pencil drawings, drafting, to be more specific. there are different types of vellum, most of them a bit transparent. a fairly good quality vellum is good for inking in that the ink doesn’t bleed. although it may wrinkle some. i wouldn’t recommend them for watercolors or acrylic because it would tend to wrinkle and deform quite a bit. i usually have some left over sheets laying around because i, on occasion, design and draw landscape designs, room additions and such for some local contractors. hate seeing paper, of any type, going to waste.
