It’s wonderful! I especially like the misty peek, it looks so distant and lofty. I’ve never done a landscape in oil, but I enjoy doing them in pastel. Maybe you could try that before giving up on the idea? I know what you mean about subject matter. I sometimes get a charge out of painting the Irish landscape, but never a US one, and ALWAYS prefer people.
