This storm developed last summer, and produced several spectacular displays of lightning.

A great capture! I love the clarity of the lightning. The clear sky behind it really makes it pop out.

Thank you Deri, Adrian, and Walter!
It is easier to get a decent photo of lightning since I live in central Florida… But I still spend a lot of time outside snapping photos and slapping mosquitoes before I get a good photo.

Great capture ( a word I am not fond of but it “captures” all you want to say, great timing, good predictive powers, good choice of shutter speed iso etc) so great capture

  • Thanks Philip!

I miss these storms so much. You capture them very well. This is stellar. I can tell you didn’t do too long of an exposure because the cloud formation is still very crisp, so double kudos on impeccable timing as well.

  • Thanks for the complement, and thanks for favoriting this!

Fantastic!!! There’s no place like Florida for great and sudden thunderstorms. I remember the gator crushers quite well. Wonderful work,

  • Thanks Lolabud! Yes, central Florida does have lots of thunderstorm activity – at least in the spring, summer, and autumn.
I’ve never heard thunderstorms called gator crushers before… I have called them bug zappers though. :)
