This storm developed last summer, and produced several spectacular displays of lightning.
cloud, lightning, storm
I’m also on youtube, and have some cool videos there: http://www.youtube.com/user/FLPhotoCatcher
A great capture! I love the clarity of the lightning. The clear sky behind it really makes it pop out.
must of taken alot of time
awsome shot Mat. I have yet to get a bolt this clear.
Thank you Deri, Adrian, and Walter! It is easier to get a decent photo of lightning since I live in central Florida… But I still spend a lot of time outside snapping photos and slapping mosquitoes before I get a good photo.
Great capture ( a word I am not fond of but it “captures” all you want to say, great timing, good predictive powers, good choice of shutter speed iso etc) so great capture
Your work is stunning!
What a beautifully crisp shot! Amazing what nature can produce!
Thank you Debra!
Wow! perfect capture.
I miss these storms so much. You capture them very well. This is stellar. I can tell you didn’t do too long of an exposure because the cloud formation is still very crisp, so double kudos on impeccable timing as well.
Thanks for the complement, and thanks for favoriting this!
Fantastic!!! There’s no place like Florida for great and sudden thunderstorms. I remember the gator crushers quite well. Wonderful work,
Thanks Lolabud! Yes, central Florida does have lots of thunderstorm activity – at least in the spring, summer, and autumn.I’ve never heard thunderstorms called gator crushers before… I have called them bug zappers though. :)
