Madeleine Marx-Bentley is a documentary photographer currently based in China, specialising in documenting lived environments, communities and marginal issues. Having completed works exploring environmental rehabilitation, mental health work, addiction rehabilitation, marginalisation and life-style, Madeleine has, since 2005, been recognised as a finalist in international photographic competitions, been published extensively, has exhibited across Australia and in Europe, and has been funded and commissioned by both government and private enterprise to complete extensive photographic works. Her works have been collected by private individuals and by institutions such as the State Library of Queensland (Australia).
