It’s the middle of spring here below the equator, so I decided to do a bit of spring cleaning last night. It wasn’t easy, but I streamlined my RB portfolio, deleting about 200 images (and 30,000 views!). I now have a fresh, brightly-coloured portfolio heavily biased towards vector drawings.
Got a new RB avatar, based on a photo taken by Ben Taylor. That’s his mum Karin giving me rabbit ears, and iAN Derrick looking amused.

Photography 08 B starts on Friday 1st August at Brunswick Street Gallery, Fitzroy, and runs for two weeks. Five of us will be exhibiting. including Bubbler Elise Leo. 
The Weekend Australian colour magazine (published yesterday, 19th July) includes 12 winning photos from their What Matters Most competition, including my shot of Gold Coast community elder Aunty Joyce hugging her grandson. The slideshow also has some wonderful photos that were commended by the judges but weren’t published.
Another “Yay!” moment … just got word from the Melbourne & Victoria Group that my yarrarama is one of 40 RedBubble pieces selected for a two-week exhibition in the foyer of the Rialto Towers in Melbourne.
