Thanks Justin—the truck was photographed on Santorini Island (which explains left-hand drive) and inserted into a shot of an abandoned farm near Texas, west of Brisbane.

You Beauty! Done well. Blue is such an intense colour, but it never demands too much.

love the truck great art,but left hand drive come on,we here in the USA drive nothing but…lol really like all your car shots

  • Matt Mawson

    Matt Mawson

Well spotted Jeffrey. Santorini is a Greek island … left hand drive is all the go there. It doesn’t look so strange in an Australian setting, though, as a lot of vehicles of that vintage were imported from the US, and drivers are permitted to use them on Australian roads under some circumstances. I occasionally see left hand drive Jeeps or beautifully restored 60s classics on Australian roads.

Matt Mawson is Awesome! Hey, that almost rhymes!... Anyway, Sir, you really caught my eye on this one. I am in the stone ages compared to you, but I hope to be able to find out how I can get creative with my work and tweak things enough to turn my photos into paintings, or drawings, or concepts that are not possible simply by pointing and snapping a camera. You had to know when you saw this truck, that it would be a goldmine of attraction and interest. Good job!

  • Matt Mawson replied

Thanks Hank (another almost-rhyme). I’ve just looked at your portfolio and you have some beautiful work … and you didn’t even have to resort to PhotoShop. Your snowscapes are stunning.
