Great capture Matt. We had a cow, used to do the same thing. A bit of a fright when you don’t expect it!!!!! ;-)

Nice shot Matt, did you invite him in? Love the way the horse is framed in the doorway!

Liz, do you recognise the location? Just up the road from your place.

Perfect back lighting. I like images that have an inside + outside story to tell.

This is a great shot. I love the country feel to it. We used to have cows or horses drop in around our house as well. It brings back good memories.

Looks like the horse wants to read a book. Very nice shot.

what a wonderful image….. I love to see a horse at the door (though mine are much smaller than this fellow….)
Was it your horse, or just one selling encyclopedias?

What an interesting shot…I really like it. Part of me wants to know what’s going on here, but the other part of me is liking the mystery of it.

Big thanks to Jan Pillar, who just bought a laminated print of this photo. Jan has a wonderful portfolio of her own work … worth checking out. I particularly like Dance of the Migration

Wow. Saw this photo after you kindly commented on my first writing, and added me to your watchlist. iAN had suggested I visit you.. Saw this photo and WOW. What a photo. I’m stupefied by the amazement of it all. The contrast between inside and out, man and horse, black and white, contrasts… like another world which strangely remind me of my grandparents world. Anyway – what a fantastic image!
Matt Mawson, about 1 month ago
Thanks Mark. This was taken at a friend’s house on a hilly and pretty part of the border ranges not far from our place.
