thanks Karin … I was recording the process of drawing this as a video but when I finished I discovered that I’d press the wrong key at one point and lost the entire video … arrrghh!!! ... I’ll try again sometime this week

thanks Anita … I was out walking when I passed this surprisingly tame rosella, feeding in a shrub next to the footpath … it let me take a few photos, including this badly exposed and out-of-focus shot …

Wow, Matt 0 I adore this work of one of my favourite aussie creatures!! I used to have a big almond tree and these guys used to plunder it every summer for the nuts – I loved watching them!!!

I think I prefer rosellas to lorikeets, fruswife, if this guy is representative … much nicer personality … we have a euodia tree near our back door and its flowers attract hordes of screeching lorikeets who get drunk on its nectar … hilarious but noisy!

Brilliant Matt…your vector is so close to the real parrot, having seen them recently in the wild on a trip down the South Coast…amazing how tame they seem to be. ps everyone loves my sunshine T!!
