Donall, you’re right. Most cats I know hate being stared at. Lizzi is an exceptional cat.

Captivating photo, the amber eyes and grey fur are a perfect combination, I am new to serious photography and photoshopping, would you mind telling me how you created the black background.

kweibo, I used the burn tool in Photoshop . With a setting of 40% exposure and a soft edge brush I paint the shadows in. There are other ways of doing it. Create a new layer above the main image and fill it with black, then use a soft eraser to remove bits of the black revealing the main image. Or select an area in the middle of the image, feather the edges, and invert the selection, then use levels to darken the background. I’m sure there are even more ways of doing it. Have fun!

I love the stunning orange. What kind of cat? I used to have a Blue Burmese.. Wonderful fur detail.
