JUST STUNNING – you are a wonderful artist Matt! For those of you who do not know, this is my Mum Sal (Sally) !!
Matt has so beautifully captured her here from a photograph of Sal on holiday on Greenmount Beach, Coolangatta…
Sal has red hair and brown eyes, and always looked stunning to me in her beautiful white bikini…... i’d say she was wearing this bikini when she approached my dad who was a lifesaver Bondi Beach Sydney, it was love at first sight!

There is something about …vectorisation. I used to think it was a new ‘Born Again’ type of religion…but now I discover it is indeed a most creative art form..Pity is …I do not have a 50s picie of me in a bikini…or I would grant you a special commission.

Thanks georgiegirl … Karin just told me that her mum used to have the nicknames “Nurse Sunshine” and “Sister Sunshine”. I had no idea when I titled this how appropriate the title was. Quite a coincidence! Part of my reasoning for the title was Sal’s warmth, which comes through in the photo.

My parents honeymooned at Coolangatta !! (It is still there the red brick building )a bit sad too as dad has passed but they had a great youth and times at the beach !! Karens mum looks fabulous !!
