thanks Bruce … maybe I should start work on a series of images based on the old jingle (“Football, Meat Pies, Kangaroos and Holden Cars”) ... or maybe not!

Hey Matt, you’ve outdone yourself with this one… wow! What a great shot! Brilliant.
Matt Mawson in reply to Mark Richards’s comment, 4 months ago
Thanks Mark. In response to your BubbleMail, no, I haven’t used my old bomb of a Toyota in any of my RedBubble images. I took a few shots at a recent hot rod show on the Gold Coast, including this Holden. 57 blue was sitting in someone’s driveway and I got their permission to shoot it from a variety of angles. I found this hearse outside an antique business in northern NSW, and this rusting Hudson was on the roadside between Nerang and Mt Tambourine. I’ve also found interesting cars in Byron, at the Gold Coast Show, and at the tiny town of Peaks Crossing, where I found The King.

Brilliant car and shot. Is this shot on location?
Matt Mawson in reply to Tony Ryan’s comment, 4 months ago
Tony, here’s the original shot, taken at a hot rod meeting at Mudgeeraba, on the Gold Coast. I took the beach background photo in northern NSW. I’ve also mirrored the left side of the Holden photo, to add a touch of surrealism.

Thanks Matt, amazing piece of creation. I love old cars and think you have done it wonderful justice with your art. Does look so surreal.
