Matt Mawson

I’ve been a designer and illustrator for most of my working life. Enjoyed some success with my cartooning as well. I got my first job from strange little cartoons I’d shove under the door of a campus radio station late at night, for use in their newsletter. They led to a position on a student magazine where I picked up design skills, working long hours on layout, illustration, cartooning and editing. Fun times.

I was a keen, early adopter of design technology and love working with photomanipulation and vector drawing. I love working with pen and ink as well. My wife, Sandra, and I live with two jack russells, Bob and Harry, who inspire some of my dog drawings.

My work ranges from bright, cute animal drawings to moody photoshopped cars. I enjoy the freedom of not limiting myself to one style. I’ve sold hundreds of items through RedBubble, and each sale is a pleasant surprise.
