Please view LARGE.Response to Banrai’s request for detail … as best I can do with baby camera and size of work.
Birds! The rip inspired? The blue being a bird is even finer. AND with the detail of birds, the cardboard wings sing. :)
The “original” cardboard ripped bird was accidental and started the whole thing! Yes, the flaps were necessary : thank you! I had a lot of fun and it was going up there no matter what! Your support is so appreciated. [see Journal entry posted today with more info, if you like!]
i love it i love it i love it!!!
I shouldn’t say this, but I love it, too, Ixchel! See link to Journal in response to lucin, above. You have kept me going!
By some unordered order of all things Red Bubble, I came to your journal before the “detail” no matter. What matters is ‘the process’ (as my daughter, who is a clinical psychologist – I must have told you that before – is always telling me) “It’s the process dad,” she says. And so I say unto you. Sock it to me with the process Margot! Super!!!
So glad you saw the Journal entry first, Denis! Suddenly realized that all the posted repetiton of the same things was making no sense, so put it all together. I wouldn’t have written about ‘the process’ but painting is all new again for me, and it is such an odd work : more of an installation (?).
hee hee : yup, sock-it-to-me sock-it-to-me sock-it-to-me!
Oh now I see the birds! Very lovely margot; there is two… no, FOUR of them ;)
Glad I tried for the closer image so they could be seen and glad you like!
LikE lots & lots.
yes said it in backstory – brilliant
Aw, gee, Karen! :)))
i luv it!!!
If Shylie luvs it, that’s enough for me!
I’m really zooming into this image on the ‘ripped’ bird’s wings!Beautiful amalgamation of colour, shape, texture -something to love…with every visit of the room
What is extra fun is looking straight up from below and seeing the shadow effects of the corrugated cardboard. I also like that considering the size, it has a stealth factor : one doesn’t “see” it unless one is across the room. Thank you for the tips adnd critiques during the process!
Oh, my! Sorry for the late reply : now I am soaring. Anthony likes it! Thank you so much, my mysterious friend!
