Rhoufi says this is in Greece… a magic place. Hope she has magic for you! Thank you always!
Oh how perfect! Margot you must teach me how to do this. I feel that I should post the original to go hand in hand, even if out of sequence. I will think and maybe on Monday. Thank you for doing this. There is something so elemental in this: the removal of the background (we try this with very open apertures, but the blur remains) and the body pose drawn out (that foot!) and of course the little spirit radiating out to the viewer, burning bright.Sweet present, dear Margot.Thank you
Thank you, Rhoufi, for sharing whimsy and cheer when needed. It was a most enjoyable time in the making! I have decided that she is not using the instrument as a sunshade after all, but is walking along playing for the joy of it (and for anyone who will listen and toss her a coin)!
I think this is amazing and beautiful! I’m so grateful that I logged on just in time to see your name and post, margot. Remarkable work!
…and I am so glad you did! Maybe this is sort of my direction with “mixed media,” but it sure was fun. She says a lot to me in her alone-ness and singularity. Really appreciate your comments, Jan!
Ha – extreme thanks, but I did have a fascinating photo to “translate!”
really neat-looks almost tribal
Yes… I kept thinking “kachina” garb! Tried to keep it from having too much of a headress look.
An extraordinary piece of art Margot!!! Brilliant!!!
Oh, my! Thank you, Meg!
Extroadinary work – heightened reality – love the texture and feeling![I read the title unthinkingly, and simply logged it up as factual in my (inattentive) state!]
Er, it is factual. The instrument is, but the sunshade part was Rhoufi’s joking (or not) title.“Heightened reality” – yes, yes that is what I wanted: to take the picture apart and do just her in pieces! Thank you, prescient one!
A moment of musical abandon! Looking forward to seeing Rhoufi’s photograph. Nice work Margot!
I thought of you and your love of music! Thank you, Jd!Rhoufi shows her in a public setting… I chose to have her alone doing her thing.Or maybe it is just a sunshade ,)
I find this image quite stimulating, not because of the part colab aspect but through your clever clr choices & balance of subject matter.
I’d encourage you to do more of this style, margot! More visual enigmatic story, yet still your style.
I think I shall do just that, Jan! Your encouragement counts a great deal, y’know! ONWARD!
