Gorgeous image! Wonderful light, colour and narrative!! The wicker still looks good … piercing blue eyes and the claws are still working well!!

  • mmargot replied

Yes, the shredder and the victim are still going strong! And she can still give the evil eye.

Great picture! I love it. Neat how the blue eyes are the only contrasting color. Cute kitten.

  • mmargot replied

Other than sizing, it is basically “as is”...eyes and all.

What a brooding kitty portrait, half-faced in shadow – I think what kitty wants, kitty gets! (judging by expression). The wicker looks well, hasn’t doubled as a cat-scratching post then?

  • mmargot replied

Busted! One arm is creatively hidden by a well-placed pillow… :-)

Beautiful use of dark space. Lovely tones of brown, with that one bit o’ blue.

I am glad I found this old photo, because Selket died from a rapid cancer growth shortly after I posted this. Lovely for her to be seen and remembered as we remember her.

You’ve let a kitten loose on wicker furniture!!! Great photo.

  • mmargot replied

Not the brightest move, eh? She was the only “shredder” in a long line of cats, but it’s their house, isn’t it?!
    Thank you for knowing cats!

This is such a beautiful portrait. I am sorry that your lovely Selket has passed on but I am glad you have created what is now a memorable tribute to her.

  • mmargot replied

Oooh, thank you. You held her own during the era when very elongated neo-Siamese were the rage. Funny pic to me because she was the ultimate gentle empath. well, we do all have our moments...
