Wonderful image! Measure twice … that is sooo true!! Having done a little DIY in my time I have definitely fallen foul of only measuring once!! Splendid composition

If I were a carpenter….I would get me all tricked out with the latest power tools and power up…yes measure twice cut one…I have know too many carpenters missing some digits even having measured twice…so M an expert carpenter has all their digits knowing full well that if you don’t focus and are not fully committed to the task you could be nailed on a cross so to speak….no doubt there is more meaning to the art piece than meets the eye…hummmm…..I do need a measuring tape and a level to get the meaning….?

  • mmargot replied

It means it’s not straight, er, level.
A meaning could certainly be created should the artist be feeling philosophically bent.

Intriguing, MM. A monochrome masterpiece, and now a fave.

Excellent work Margot. Most folks grab the saw and start to cut without ever measuring. :-)
