beautiful black and white graphics. this feels very surreal and disturbs me for some reason. I don’t know why. maybe it’s the glasses. I feel as if I’m looking in a mirror, which I don’t do except to shave. or maybe it’s all the emptiness that doesn’t feel empty at all. Very striking piece

I think maybe the b/w is best, John!
Thank you for the very thoughtful comments.

Love the glasses. It really gives it character. Quite fond of the fence in the back too!

Thank you, Helene! Spectacles, or glasses, if you will, are to me what the
clocks are to you, I think! Time and sight are becoming themes.

An amazingly bizarre decision on those elements MM. Bizarre because such disparate stuff works together. I see the backyard of a true Bid

  • mmargot replied

“The” Junkyard, please! It is a marvelous enclosed space, usually quite tidy, in which reside miscellaneous creatures soon to meet true doom in the dump.
I am very pleased that you find it bizarre…it is.

DaDa means YesYes in Russian, didn’t you know that? This pair of glasses orchestrates the space quite proficiently.

  • mmargot replied

Da! You are cute when you are serious, Nikolay.
Hope you had good holidays; it is nice to see you back. I did not think of it, but maybe the glasses are in the Junkyard because I had to have surgery and don’t need them…subconscious discard?

  • SNik

    SNik

I am afraid you can’t discard the subconscious consciously… I was thinking about the eye behind the glasses and the only curves amind straight lines… Margot. I am still enjoying my holidays until Jan 12. Do hope they make eye surgery proficiently enough?

  • mmargot replied

My apologies : it seems January has come and gone! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
We can celebrate the Lunar New Year on January 26, too.

The subject of this piece is me i feel.

  • mmargot replied

    Why so…?
There is no subject; which is not to say you or it does not exist.

I wish it had been created as profound work, done with much thought, but the artist was not seeking….
Do keep feeling…like the Junkyard, things sort themselves out in their own order and time.
