I might have to do a visual response to this. I found a an wonderful old leather bound pair of Spanish dictionaries on ebay for about $10 US then they went down to $6 and I didn’t win them! I was so annoyed!
Mr Thesaurus is one of my favourite authors and I couldn’t live without my Oxford Book Of Quotations darling… better add a dictionery of rhymes and similies too for good measure to measure. Still in lovely Uckfield… am warming to it; or is it just this Rioja.
I miss having a huge workspace full of open books and books with post-its sticking out…feels more workmanlike than sitting at a computer! You gave me an idea for something … thanks, and keep enjoying your rip.
heh heh, Thanks, Helen! Sometimes it is easier to run for a book if I know what I want… [oops, guess I already said that] Hang on to the books…everything is not on line!

Oh, poop! A good dictionary is always useful, so why not have a
pretty or unusual one…

If you drink too much Rioja, you get Uckfield.

wonderful still life. when I viewed it small I didn’t see that it was books and thought “what a great graphic design of shapes.” good job
mmargot replied
I had forgotten this…so sorry, John.
Yes, when I see it in passing, I think it is a sort of block design – which is not a bad thing.

This is a fabulous photograph. So few people actually read books these days. Great work.

I love it. I still cherish dictionaries and old volumes with handmade lithos and etching in them. I like your sensibilities….

That makes me happy…thank you!
