Feed Store Rat Rod by Michael McKellip

Canvas Prints

Available to buy on…

This was drawn from a photograph taken by Chad Truss who is a photographer for “Rat Rod Magazine”. One day Chad had put a post on his facebook page thanking everyone for liking the page. I commented that I liked it because his photos were an inspiration for me. He replied that he would love to see a drawing of one of his photos so I went to work. I choose this one because when I was a kid and would stay at my Uncles farm every summer I always loved going to the feed store in town where the corn and oats he had grown the summer before were ground into feed for his livestock..

11.75″ × 6.5″ Done with Royal Graphite Pencils.

Extremely clever art here Michael. How long would it take you to draw something of this detail…its brilliant! x

  • THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH for your comment, support and for favoring this one!!!!!!
As for how long it takes I don’t keep track of how many hours I spend on a piece because if I sold it and figured out what I made an hour I would get very depressed. A rough guess is that after a couple preliminary sketches it took 20 to 25 hours.
