Poppies
We’ve had a pretty wet winter out in the desert and are being rewarded with a profusion of wildflowers. The yellow poppies are so thick in some areas that I can see them from the air. Magnificent!

I think they grow anywhere in the southwest. These were in Arizona, near where I live.
Oddly enough, I went past the same spot yesterday with my Jeep to show some friends. Almost all the flowers were already gone—only two weeks after this shot was taken.
