Inspirations, continuing, William Dassonville.

William Dassonville.

We were made aware of this artist by Mack Lee, Owner of Lee Gallery.

He showed us some of Dassonville’s works and we were hooked.

We have a print, very similar and size, location and subject, as this: link

Our print shows the same grouping of trees, but it is more the larger trees with the city in the distance, and an almost 3D effect because of the care of the focus and technique.

We also have an image made by Dassonville of the Rusk Building from about the same period in time.

Dassonville also made Charcoal Black photographic paper.

“He called his paper “Charcoal Black” and it was heralded by Ansel Adams, Imogene Cunningham and many others."
