Total horror from others … But I like the ones that show respect … Most let the children look like they are sleeping, in their finest clothes, and others with adults sat or laying in peace. I was quite unpopular in art school !!!!!!!!!!!!! ozzzywoman over 3 years ago They are haunting, and it does seem strange & morbid to us now but it should be remembered that early deaths in the family were commonplace at that time. MLabuda over 3 years ago I’ve seen old people, middle aged, and young people, as well as animals in the images. I have an image of a son of mine, who died at birth. I think are unaware of what a person who is dead looks like, and react to the image. But, really, what would they look like? They are still people after all.
