Family on Beach at Sunrise

Thanks – it was totally a “grab” shot – I was walking on the beach, taking bird shots, and this beautiful scene just appeared before me. Right as I took the shot, the little boy pulled away from his dad to chase the gull. The pink tone os from the rising sun through the fog – it was a mystical morning.

Thanks – it’s one of my favorites, I think because it was such an unexpected shot.

Amazingly enough, the light is natural – no digital adjustment other than a very slight contrast/saturation tweak. The pink rising sun through the fog is what caused the color.

Thanks Brendan, of the thousands (and thousands!) of photographs I’ve ever taken, this is probably my favorite, and it happened so accidentally – wasn’t a planned shot at all.
