Hope (For Dr Martin Luther King Jr.)

“Even if I knew that tomorrow
the world would go to pieces,
I would still plant my apple tree.”
-King Jr.

Hope is sometimes lost
in the struggle
to find an identity.

Tragic is it when
a man or woman
walks through this life
without an identity.

Hope creates the identity.

I believe that.

Growing goes hand
in hand in hand in hand
with hope.

Let’s hold hands
and remember
never to give up
hope, love, truth and identity.

I believe in you
and please
believe in me.

We are taking steps
no matter how small
We need to keep moving.

    Beautiful, he would be proud.

  • Thank you.
I wonder what it would be like if he was able to see what has been made of the world today. He strove so hard to change it.
