I See You Stranger
Short poem in admiration of youthful flexibility
I saw you swing the club
Willow slim in a white tee shirt
Your waist a handspan—-ok, two,
But still so slim
Your buckled belt
Needed another notch
Your legs? And crotch?
I cannot say—-
I only saw your waist
And that amazing wedge
Of shoulders,
Turning effortless
It caught my breath
Across the fairway
And these hands trembled
With remembering
Until I duffed my shot—-
You hit your ball
Into eternity.

wow…great imagery and I love the duality of words and images. Very well done…I am envious of this work but in a good way. Thank you for sharing.
