Muse in crisis
This is a revisiting of the “muse’ character already in my gallery. i did this one in ‘06 – a long time after the first one – at a point of great disappointment and sadness in my life…. can you tell?? I came close to walking away from my creative aspirations, but my muse wouldn’t let me, and set me to work on this picture. i blew the dust off him last night and scanned him. I love this guy.
Muse in crisis belongs to the following groups:
Art Inspired by Dreams, Atheism, Capturing Emotion, Character Development, Ebony and Ivory, Fantasy Art, New Zealand Made, Something To Say and Spiritual Art
Shanina Conway
I love this guy too…so many emotions in this ..the winds of change, money, tears of the angels…the world is a better place because you didn’t walk away;)

Thanks mate – nice of you to say that…

you are lucky to have him…look after him (and he even looks like you!)

yes, I believe that all artists draw pictures of themselves even without knowing it

Oh… pictures are one things…
but drawing… extracting something out of a white paper is… quite another.
I am really happy that your muse did not leave you… or let you going down…
I can feel that this guy… drunken and desperate.. did what he could,
turned himself into a winter tree…
beaten in appereance by winds and cold,
solitary and blind.
But… near the earth..
waiting for a new day.. shinning day to come.
Rosa (well.. as I am excited I cannot by share my New Achievement….. here it is . Thanks a lot for your kind visits. I do appreciate them)

I love that your characters seem to have actual characters of their own…there’s something really engaging about their relationship to whoever is viewing them (in this case, of course, me). They’re very lively and wonderful to look at. Your site is a lot of fun.
mistertrooth replied
That’s a very flattering comment, and i’m glad to hear it … after all, what’s a character without character? I thank Dr. Suess for his massive influence on that front, and my dad… :-)
Genevieve Robey
He is wonderful. Your work is so interesting.
mistertrooth replied
Thanks again, Genevieve :-)

i have spent a fair amount of time this evening enjoying your work your comic work is fantastic but out of all pieces that you have here on RB both of your muse works have….. well…. they just have…..
it is amazing when we get a glimpse of our guides…
mistertrooth replied
it is indeed – thanks for delving deeper into my gallery – it’s getting quite extensive now.. Yeah – he’s something special that guy. The funny thing is that even tho he’s hand-drawn, i feel he resonates more strongly with my photoshop characters than my other drawings – i think he’s a cousin of the Fairy character. There’s another one that i haven’t scanned and put up yet, and i feel there’s another drawing of him on the way – it’s been a couple of years. I want to see him depicted in a state of euphoria – functioning at his peak and bursting with energy…..

This is fab – have you seen Stormies / Stormy’s paintings (grafitti art) – you’d like and you should be doing more of this!
