I was lying on the ground quite close to the galah. She was always careful to keep an eye on me :)
Photo was taken at Neil Hawkin’s Park in Joondalup, Western Australia.

I am a Perth-based amateur photographer and I have been passionate about photography since a young age. My gallery contains a mixture of landscape, flora, fauna and some rustic photos.
Add it to the Australian Wildlife group too!
Thanks, I have added it to that group, along with one of my other photos.

Beautiful angle and perspective. I am often found laying on the ground too, at one with my subjects. It gives a better perspective
Yes, the perspective is better and the background is a lot nicer then. Only problem is I ended up with bird poo on my pants!
Oh well, hazards of the job LOL
Thank you for the comment
Stunning shot – excellent detail!
Thank you! The ones at this park can be hand-fed so I was able to get really close to capture the details.
Hand-fed galahs – I’m jealous!!
Would love to have you involved in the Australian Wildlife book?!
I would be delighted to be part of the book Steve! Just let me know how I can be involved.
Would like this shot too mate.
