Lead Heart

I’m blacker than black
And deader than dead
My bones are made of elastic
And my heart is made of lead

I shed my skin, just like a tear
And I’ll break my heart wishing that you were hear
But there’s a fear inside
And I can’t hide from it
The bile will rise
And in time I will vomit

And I’ll bring up my lungs
I’ll struggle, can’t breathe
This lead heart is weighing me down
As it hangs off my sleeve

So I’ll leave with a picture
Of what I’ve always dreamed
But inside my head
I can hear the screams…

Of the dead, and the children
As falling cities burn
As I stir my dirty cauldron
And watch the bubbles churn

I am bad, I am evil
I’m everything and more
But I am dead, I am nothing
I won’t plead anymore

Lead Heart
