the idea is that if women do not age gracefully and get implants when they are young, as they get older naturally their breasts would sag, and this is what i imagine they would look like (exaggerated of course) it is not meant to offend but it is meant to make people think about Plastic Surgery and how we are meant to keep up with the modern ideals of beauty…

Ohhhhh, it’s not beautiful, but a great expressive piece of statement art by an artist. Who but the artist can define her/his own work??? If you don’t like it or don’t agree with it you have choices, and one of them is not to look at it.

interesting. I have to agree with you…it’s just art. And like you said…it’s an exaggeration of what might be true. Though I think that if they had inplants put in once they’ll be more likely to “fix” the natural sag of aging.

HAAAA!!! Plastic surgeons all over recommend having a breast lift every 5 to 7 years to keep them gravity defying. The bigger the boob the more powerful the gravitational force exerted on it, hence their recommendation for having it re-done. Nothing is forever on this planet.

yeah exactly but how many people out there go and get loans just so that they can get their first set done?? what if they never had the money to get them re-done, anyway its not supposed to be realistic but imaginative… thanks for your support girls!!! i agree no one forces anyone to look at anything!!

When I first saw them….i thumbnail..the idea came to myself that they were like dried leaves.. which I felt was metaphorical and a brilliatn idea.. Then I saw them close view and they were like testicles…and it surprised me by an strong reference. It is right to say that men hide theirngenitals i our culture…and that they hang in a sack, when natural state.. and that noone is “punishing” them to make the go up there all the time all fixed up i the the groins….near the womb..as well as their penis is fladiciy hanging most of the time.
And that when regarding to women….their breast youls be upright…as their bottoms…their thighs… imposing upon them a tirany of the approved image. For me… I do otnfind any fault i this metaphor even if it would not art, but just a joke….it would mean that you cannot judge someone by the aspect…you cannot deplete the fullness of such great part of our bodies..but honor it.. being in bloom or aged. And that is the transformation.Have any of you those celebrateds comic jokes about the “old woman with shagged breasts” that appeared i the Playboy Magazine?...She was fantastic..and even the magazine is the epithome of the malish culture..(which actually is much more a bussiness thatn a real event)
for me she was a heroine…hot… piquant and with a lot of “world” behind her aged body.
Which most of the “powerful males” there did not have…I could write for ages about this…and fid that the work is worthy a Soul appreciation rather than a “puritan” look.

thank you so much Rosa!!! it means a lot to me that youhave taken both the time to write and to reflect on my work!! the use of comedy is important in my work as i believe it adds a certain edge to the meaning, making it more digestable and not simply shocking… however the message is important to me and i do strongly believe in the things that i comment on in my work, that is why i do it… so it i am very flattered and really happy that you have seen the same i have have in this piece!!! this does not mean that i do not welcome other meanings and thoughts as i do not believe art is art if it is only meant to be what the artist thinks of it, otherwise i believe it is in danger of becoming egotistical…

dang, your work is beyond inspirational. I love the impressions you have taken on the female nude, but have used them as an alternative means of androgyny. i will i could see your work as installation!
btw, I don’t believe this is ‘shock art’ or that this ‘needs’ to be represented in a less offensive manner. I enjoy your risk is showing this, and I also enjoy your humor. great work!
