A Letter to Stranger

Dear Stranger,
I ask that you let me be
For I’m just an innocent living in insanity
I choose this life as it chose me
And to be honest, well, it flatters me

My hair is a crazy mess yes, I know
It’s a reflection of the way my insides my flow
I’ve chosen the stage for my life’s show
Respect is the virtue that I think you owe

I know you think my facial art is wrong
Thankfully it was never my intention to belong
To choose my natural life is to be strong
If you took your hand off it I’m sure we could get along

In short
My attire is confronting it’s true
But I dress to express myself, not you
I choose this life as it is due
And to be honest I don’t think you have a clue

Living this way is not always grand
Sometimes I’m so Depressed that I can barely stand
But I’ve chosen a place to call my Land
And everything I need resides purely in my hand

My paranoia and sensitive ways
Have seen me locked up for days upon days
To choose my natural life escapes the haze
Which is worth it despite being trapped in this maze

So Stranger
I still only ask one thing
Allow me the freedom of insanity to sing
I choose this life with gifts to bring
But your cruelty could destroy it all in just one sting
