Motif #1
The most famous sight in Rockport, MA is a wooden fishermans shack on the town wharf known as Motif #1. The trademark of the costal town is said to be one of the most photographed buildings in the country. It was originally constructed in 1884 and destroyed during the blizzard of 1978. It stands rebuilt on the same pier as the original, duplicated in every detail and reinforced to withstand storms.
