The Kymin is a National Trust property, situated in an elevated position overlooking Monmouth, the Wye Valley and the Usk plain, with views over to the Sugar Loaf and the Black Mountains beyond.
This shot shows the Naval Temple at the top of the Kymin which was opened in 1801 as a monument to several British admirals, including Admiral Lord Nelson, who visited the site the year after it was built.
Shot taken with a Nikkormat 35mm SLR and infrared film, and finished with an Orton effect

Hi, my name’s Chris. I live in the beautiful county of Monmouthshire.
When I was 10 I was given a Brownie 110 for a school trip – not a single shot came out! But ….. the photography bug was born.
My interests are broad in both subject & style leading to a diverse portfolio – check out My Directory at http://www.missmoneypenny.talktalk.net/ to see just how varied my style & products are.
I hope you enjoy your visit, my sites have been created with you in mind.

beautiful too :)
Thanks again. The Kymin is a viewpoint in Monmouth, Wales. On a clear day you can see across three different counties. The building is called the roundhouse and is a museum dedicated to Lord Nelson.
This is brilliantly captured Missmoneypenny
