I am not quite sure
Somewhere between Hell and nowhere
In reality I don’t care
There were too many times
I reached out and you pulled away
To many times I cried myself to sleep
Because of being treated that way
I was just a little girl
Thrown into a grown up world
So can you blame me for being so scared
Oh that’s right you were too busy to care
To busy being unhappy
that you forgot about me
Forgot the one who couldn’t defend herself
The one who cried out for help
Can you remember those cries
The ones you heard
When you helped him cover up his lies
Now I have too many sleepless nights
Tossing and turning,
Wondering will I ever be alright?
You say get over it
That it was a long time ago
So why don’t you take my pain
And then you can let me know
How easy it is to just let go
To forgive and forget
It won’t be so easy I bet
Once you walk a miles in my shoes
Down this path I didn’t choose
That’s when you can tell me
Everything’s going to be okay
That eventually the pain will go away
Until then I can’t
Because once you Forgive and forget
You just Relive and Regret
