Upon the ruins of my soul
And the remnants of my heart,
I built a better me.
I forged steel from my tears.
I used sweat to form a shell,
A skeleton from my hopes,
A foundation from my fears,
Limbs of skepticism
And a skin of indecision.
I stood hardened from the years.
Built to survive the onslaught
of pain and disappointment,
I never bent in the wind…
But I did live and love again.

I’m creating a new life :) It’s a damn slow process with many obstacles in the way …but I’m getting there. A big thanks to the people who have sent messages of such love and support xox and an EXTRA BIG “I LOVE YOU” to the friends who are giving me the time to heal.
