MissAudrey

WHERE ARE ALL THOSE PHOTOS ?

The Facebook and Twitter “share” feature is a bit too much.

I apologize to all of the folks who love my photos but I had to hide them from view due to the imposition of the “share” feature with Facebook and Twitter. If I wanted my photos on Facebook and Twitter they would already be there. Think of it as a protest on my part. Photos will be replaced when this situation is resolved. I understand the nature of the internet but I do not like to see things imposed without my previous knowledge, consent, and without being given an option to simply not participate.

As a model I choose to keep a certain level of anonymity and do not appreciate having it compromised.

Thank You for your understanding and support.

Sincerely,

XOXOXOXOXOXO

Miss Audrey

Oh wow. I guess I didn’t even pay that much attention to those or think about it. I’m not a gigantic social networking whore, so I usually don’t take advantages of those features. But I do see your point.

Thank You ! I used to be a fixture on Deviant Art and this ‘sharing’ idea ruined that community and reduced it to a glorified porn site. It opened the floodgates for a bunch of kids to come gawk at naked ladies and leave lewd comments. The artistic interaction ended and many artists left. I hate that they are doing that here.

You are so right…I did not know that they did this either…
but I do not have either of them right now….

  • MissAudrey replied 25 days ago

Not a fan of having features imposed on on me without prior warning or consent.

yeah was just looking and I can’t see where we can disable that feature…I do have facebook and have some of my photos there…but I want to be in control of that. Also if someone shares the image to facebook or twitter…..can someone then right click and save the image…from those sites??

  • MissAudrey replied 25 days ago

Apparently it is only a link but not sure. Still I am not here for the Facebook and Twitter crowd. Also not here to have such decisions made for me. I am an adult and I deserve to make these choices for myself as does everyone else.

I have tried it and it is a link only

  • MissAudrey replied 25 days ago

I checked and it is only a link but it is a link and a gate that gets our stuff out to a demographic we didnt all plan to appeal to. This happened on Deviant Art and it RUINED the community there. Dont want to see it happen here.

It is only a link but it feeds our creative byproducts into a demographic we didnt intend to appeal to. I have seen it ruin one art site already. No coming back from that. Of course the administrators want advertising revenue and will whore out our art for page views. This is the “best” way to do it

I think you have to realise that it gives you he option of putting your photo onto Facebook or Twitter. It is not compulsory – you decide. So just don’t use the option OK?

Hi, I have to apologise. IT IS POSSIBLE FOR SOMEONE ELSE VIEWING YOUR PHOTO TO PUT IT UP ON THEIR FACEBOOK SITE.

I honestly thought it was only possible for us to put up our own photos.

BUT I WAS WRONG – Sorry

You are right to remove your photos and I hope RB realise the problem this causes to all of us

    Take care, Mike

You have my absolute support and understanding in this matter!! I find this situation appalling and am disgusted that there is apparently no way of removing this feature from our work..We should be given the choice!!I hope this is rectified quickly….

Has anyone rasied this with Redbubble?

  • MissAudrey replied 23 days ago

The Red Bubble President said NOTHING will be done about it. How is that for news?
