“Good morning Daisy,” whispered Blossom.
“Shut up,” said Tulip, “I’m still sleeping.
“Doesn’t sound like it!” laughed Daffodil.

Tulip turned away. Ivy blew over Dandelion’s fragile face and a couple of seeds flew off and hit Tulips petals. Tulip pulled a face.

“Hey!” yelled Dandelion, “Now I gotta regrow those. You’re in for it!”
“Shush,” shouted Daisy, “They are coming”

The grounds keeper waddled over like a penguin. He held up the water can and the flowers held their breath. He waddled off and the flowers basked in the cool water.

“I know waking up is horrible,” gasped Tulip, “But this is heaven!”

The flowers laughed.

A loud beating sound pieced the air. The bees were on their way.

“Watch out!” yelled Lilac.
“Yeah!” agreed Pansy, “You have stingers, you know!”
“Um, we do know, actually,” back-talked a bee.
“We are the ones keeping your families alive!” shouted another bee.
“Excellent point!” said Blossom.
“Gee, Blossom!” sighed Daffodil, “Can you keep your mouth closed for five minutes?”

The bees laughed. The flowers looked at Blossom.
“Sorry…” she whispered.
