The Righteous Suffer No More

Jesus anesthetized
He sang you a lullaby
of Heaven,
when the execution
for a minute He held
your heart Frozen
in a calloused hand
I know he trembled
in the Presence of God
he knew he did wrong
chopping you all up,
But, God has your soul
He will beautify it
wipe all of the hatred
that surrounded your
I know you have flown
with angels
will walk with apostles
Jesus cradles you
to Himself,
“Let the little children come unto Me.”
millions weep over your murders
but cannot wipe your tears
Jesus wiped your suffering away
with Him you make
intercession for the mothers
and doctors
your prayers are pearls
of forgiveness
you were once the smallest
of us,
now the wisest,
you console martyrs
of every age,
who cry,
“How Long?”
You Praise with seraphim
who cry day and night,
yours was a faith
without knowledge,
Christ held out His Hand,
and invited you into His Throne
For you were already inscribed
in the Palms of His Hands
God wrote His Name on you,
and the Name of His City,
The New Jerusalem
then He named you,
and handed you a white stone
with a name no one knows,
except for the Lord
and you
gave you hidden manna
to eat,
Now, you will never hunger or thirst,
For the Righteous suffer no more.

Artist's Description

“And God shall wipe away every tear from
their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor
sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more
pain, for the former things have passed away.”
(Revelation 21:4)

“To him who overcomes I will give some of the hidden manna to eat. And I will give him a white stone, and on the stone a new name written which no one knows except him who receives it.”
(Revelation 2:17)

“I will write on him the name of My God and the name of the city of My God, the New Jerusalem, which comed down out of Heaven from My God, and I will write on him My New Name.”
(Revelation 3:12)

Our Father is Loving and Merciful beyond what we can imagine. As I know Him, the unborn who were aborted have an abundance of His Lovingkindness, as they were innocent.

This poem belongs to the series of Life Poems dedicated to the Memory of the Unborn who were aborted.*
