venting shelf fungi
Several Shelf fungi that are showing their vents more than their tops. I love this shot although I’m not certain why. Any critique?
This is one of many taken on the Olympic Peninsula with a Kodak point and shoot. I can’t find any EXIF information, maybe it didn’t exist then, or maybe it’s been lost in the time since I took these shots.

as a mushroom fanatic i love it for that….as an artist i love it for the ‘structure’ or the stair-stepping? the flash was a great use here….Flammulina Velutipes would be my guess on the mushrooms….....if taken recently? or Winter Mushrooms/Velvet Stem/Velvet Shank….
