Is anything real?

Miron Abramovici

Is anything real?

... or just smoke and mirrors?

Rosa Cobos has written this moving poem as an answer to the question in the title:

Up to this point.. having seen too much and too many…
having thought and dreamed about much and many..
I can say that this is real..
broken mirrors…
or reflections broken..
pieces of Life..
unseen by anyone..
a show of shattered dreams..
each one becoming alive..
demanding your attention..
It is real..
for there is nothing ..
coming out of our minds..
that is not real..

Abstract is as real as concrete, two complementing realities. Miron, this is not only fantastic two ways, but also beautiful.

There really aren’t… things that come from us that… are imagined. This is touching, nostalgic, depressing, amazing… quite perfect.

I’m not sure to understand how this work was made, and that fascinates me.
Very interesting piece of abstraction !

  • Miron Abramovici replied

It is the interior of a painted vase reflected in a “funky” mirror composed of different pieces.
