Hi Miron,
So many men like this wandering aroumd our city now, we also have people begging for money which probablly would never had been seen only 10-15 years ago.
All the same you captured him perfectlly, it’s a marvellous photograph. I thought of doing a series of images on homeless men for an exhibition, maybe the city elders would buy them all so as not to have them shown !
Keep well,
Ronald

This outstanding capture Miron, and a very generous offer, all of these people need assistance, alcohol is usually their addiction and is extremely hard to defeat.

Why do we need homeless people on our streets with all the wealth in the world? A poignant reminder to us all! Images such as this should be posted on billboards for all to see!
This is a great image Miron, wonderful capture!!!
KcranmerArt
Excellent character shot Miron!! I’ve visited SF soooo many times in my life. I used to give leftover food to the homeless there….I can’t believe how many there are in SF…so sad!
Danica Radman ...
such a character! poignant, just like in paris – so many lonely hungry people surrounded by shine of the rich city & unbearable indifference
It is very kind of you and very humane! A warm handshake in thought, and believe me, I am with you.

I don’t do this very often, but I would actually like to criticize you…sorry
You have a great eye for exposure and the proper capture, but you lack something deeper. You have no soul, in any of your works in your bubble gallery. Nothing. It just all feels so dry, well done and wonderfully exposed, but its just…dry. I wish I could offer something more constructive, but I have to say it when I see it. You have a lot talent and absolutely no love for what you do.
Anyway, still really like some of these, evn fav’ing this piece, but again…try to find something you know in your heart otherwise all of your work continue to be something wonderful at first glance, but hollow under better inspection.
Miron Abramovici replied
Thanks for favoriting this photo. And I truly appreciate your negative feedback. (I think negative feedback is badly missing on RB.)
But I disagree with it. I do put my soul in my artwork and really LOVE what I do. I don’t understand how you don’t see this. Maybe I fail sometimes since I am a relatively new artist – I started only about 2 years ago and I am still trying to find my way. But at least in this photo you should have seen my soul.
RPGesus
Actually Miron, I see his soul, I see his pain and bare truth, not yours.
Princessbren2006
I don’t agree you should see the artist soul when the photo is showing the person in the photos soul, pain etc
Courtney Goddard
I love your work hence you being on my watchlist…but I kind of understand what RP is saying.. not to be inflammatory – you obviously have immense talent and you take amazing pictures, BUT perhaps it is how you state how many times people have looked at your work and how many features etc etc.. sometimes the less that is said the better :) I disagree that “you have no soul”..that is a little bit of an extreme comment…I was drawn to this picture. congrats. the only time i have tried to take a photo of the homeless i was spat on.

Congratulations on being featured on the Red Bubble Homeless-themed home page.
November 21st 2009.
You have managed to capture the lives of the homeless in such a way that it makes us think about how lucky we are to have a roof over our heads and enough food to keep us from going to bed hungry each night.
Tenee Attoh

Miron, congratulations on your home page today! Even more so, congratulations on this photo. It has astounding impact. I lived in downtown Houston for a number of years and encountered men and women like this daily. Often they need more than basic food, clothing, and shelter— they desperately need mental health care. It’s sad that they are on the streets rather than in a facility where they can improve and eventually take back their life.
Lynda McDonald
this is one of the strongest story telling images i have ever seen, congratulations on your home page feature and excellent photography

When I look into this man’s eyes I see a haunting lost look. It is hard to take pictures of the homeless, as it can appear to be exploitation but as a portrait that captures a little of this man’s life it goes a long way to showing how he must feel. It does tell a story and the exposure of this and treatment add to that. I have to say negative feedback here is unusual, but critesism is how we grow and develop our art. I have to admit to commenting on pictures I like beacause it is easier to be posetive. Your work has talent, as for soul, it is very hard to put into any art and takes time to find your niche. Don’t be put off, someone cares enough to see something in your work and sees the potential to go further, it sounds like they want to see you do your best and then some! Great image.
Kym Howard
This looks quite eerie and I find the image difficult to look at which means it evokes something within me. A brilliant emotive image. My husband agreed a sadness and I watched his facial expression when shown your image. Very powerful you should be commended as this is brilliant in my opinion. Well Done
