Introducing leggings. You’ll never run out of inspiration.

Hi,

Thanks for taking an interest in my profile.

I’m a photography enthusiast from the wonderful city of Brisbane on the east coast of Australia. I’ve always loved and appreciated the products of photography, as both a means of artistic expression and as a medium of story-telling. It was only in my early twenties however that I began to put some thought into the actual processes behind a photograph, how aperture, exposure, and lighting combine to capture a scene or convey an emotion. While working in London, I discovered the wonderful travel photographs of a colleague and was inspired to develop my own artistic expression through photography. I bought a second-hand SLR camera and haven’t looked back.

Since then my passion for photography has only increased and I find myself regularly looking for new and unique landscapes to shoot or angles and lighting to experiment with. It seems that a lot of photographers find a niche; they either focus on landscapes, weddings, or perhaps portraits and studio shots. As I have very eclectic tastes I doubt that I’ll ever find a particular niche, but enjoy the challenges and results from each of the particular fields, as well as the different techniques and creative opportunities that are available with digital processing.

In my “day job” I’m an IT consultant, and as a geek at heart in the digital age of photography, I love the fusion of technology, composition, and manipulation that form a completed photograph. I hope to continue improving my skills both behind the camera and within the post-processing software, to create unique images that I can enjoy hanging on my wall and perhaps inspire others to take up photography for themselves as a hobby or even a career.

I hope you find something in my portfolio that you appreciate as much as I enjoyed creating it.
