Ha ha, your spot on. I wanted to do something with ears and this image kept popping into my mind. I was trying to think of another animal to put it on but thought I’d put them on me. Revenge of the mouse maybe.

Beautiful stuff – I really love the sense of abandon and whimsy that this projects. If I were to make one small suggestion, it’d be to move the shoes to the left – the position and pose of the woman seem to suggest that she’s moving upwards and forwards, but with the shoes directly under her feet, it’s a little confused IMHO. That aside, this is a marvellous piece of art, and I can see it doing really well in the comp (no doubt cracking the top 20, I’d say).

thanks Simon for the feedback and praise, I would be ecstatic if it gets in the top 20. I originally had the shoes more to the left but thought it looked unbalanced but I will give it another try. Have you put an entry in yet?

Cool – no worries :o) Perhaps if you added some sort of background element to link the two (some leaves in the breeze, musical notes, something more abstract), you could balance it a little more if you decide to move the shoes. There’s a great crit/assist thread over here that I’d recommend if you want some more opinions.
And yup, I’ve just recently put my entry up. It’s the first in my folio at the mo and is called Omegaphone.
