Papilio Infernale

Artist's Description

Lady Helena, my Bleach OC, in her Segunda Resurrecion. I wanted her to look exactly like I envisioned her, so the majority of my time was spent sketching on paper, plotting/scheming mentally, and revising her entire look.

Papilio Infernale means “Hell Butterfly” in Latin.

Here is some info on the release:

Second Released State
Release Command: Revivere, Papilio Infernale
A release she did not discover until thousands of years after she became the Ruler of Hueco Mundo. As soon as she calls out “Papilio Infernale”, if she has not already taken on another form, the lotus flower and tentacles disappear. She takes on an almost human form, and then, an abismo (a garganta that leads to Hell), opens up beneath her. Arms come through the hole and try to drag her down. This is something she must undergo everytime she releases her Segunda Resurrecion. It is a test to prove she is still strong enough to control the Hell Butterflies. When (and if) she finally emerges, it is as if she has been buried under tar. The reaitsu of the Hell Butterflies drips off of her. From her back, two wings appear, which look like a cross between a butterfly’s wings and a demon’s wings. On her head, a crown is formed, echoing the same tentacle-like look of her gown. The outfit created by this tar-like reaitsu is rather revealing, showing off a lot of skin with rips and tears all over.

Her weapon in this form has a nickname: Furvur Mortis, which is Latin for Black Death.

In this form, she is extremely dangerous and completely ruthless. If you get in her way, she’ll quite literally rip you to shreds.

Date completed: June 19th, 2010
