Mariah and Scorpio, were brother and sister..They were born when I moved from Chicago to Solana Beach Ca.. It was quite a interesting time to live there, I was right on the cliffs and looking down at this wonder and beautiful creation of Gods awesome Pacific Ocean..
The night of the first El Nino, which at the time they didn’t call it that..1982..Mariah and Scorpio where
born the first night of this amazing storm..thats how they got there name..It was November- Scorpio the zodiac sign and Mariah the wind..when I say it was a amazing storm..actually it was more of a disaster ..it really tore the beaches and some of the restaurants on the water into a mess..My daughter Nicole and I would go to the chart house to have dinner and watch the waves come up almost to the windows…it was such a wonderfu thing to see how powerful natures is…gorgeous..sad for the people that may have lost their homes, some were flooded and others torn apart..it was definitely bittersweet..but coming from Chicago to the beach…it was fascinating to watch!!!
