I am a resident of southern Louisiana, a retired high school English teacher, a writer, and a huge fan of photography ever since my husband gave me my first DSLR camera several years ago.

Thank you for viewing my pictures and for helping me learn about this fascinating field of study. I hope I can mirror, even in a tiny way, some of the beauty of this wonderful world we’re privileged to inhabit. A sense of appreciation and gratitude is the least we can do in response to all that the good Lord has given us. I try to convey that in my images.

Quote: “For those who have faith, the entire universe speaks of the Triune God. From the spaces between the stars to microscopic particles, all that exists refers to a Being who communicates himself in the multiplicity and variety of elements, as in an immense symphony.” Pope Benedict XVI

I hope these humble images I’ve captured add sweet notes of harmony to the universal symphony alluded to in the above words of the Holy Father.

Remembering Sheryl Kasper

I was shocked to learn that our mutual friend, Sheryl Kasper, also a Red Bubble member, had passed away! It seemed not very long since I’d heard from her, but she hadn’t mentioned anything about illness. I …

Armed robbery of my 90 year old father and 86 year old mother

What kind of person preys on the elderly? Pulls a gun on the aged and unsuspecting, demands their money, and then proceeds to rob them of their hard-earned possessions? I don’t know the answer to my own question, but I would venture to guess it’s a cowardly sort who does this kind of thing. / Yesterday, my 90 year old father and 86 year old mother went shopping and upon returning to t…

A link in a chain . . .

John Henry Newman (1801-1890) wrote: “God has created me to do him some definite service; he has committed some work to me which he has not committed to another. I have my mission – I may never know it in this life, but I shall be told it in the next. I am a link in a chain, a bond of connection between persons. He has not created me for nothing. Therefore, I will trust him. Whatever, where…
