Years ago, a local naturalist who writes a weekly newspaper column told me that it was no point putting bluebird boxes in my yard since they did not nest in my area. I respected his expertise, but I am a prayerful, hopeful person, sometimes hoping against hope, and I put the boxes up anyway. It’s been longer than I recall, but bluebirds have been nesting in the boxes in my yard for quite a while now. It took them a while to find me, but they did, and they’ve become “regulars” in my garden, year round! What a joy! Sometimes, hope outweighs expert opinions, and sometimes far fetched dreams do come true! Bluebirds represent the spirit of hope to me as a result of my gratifying experiences with them. I’d love to know how many bluebird chicks have fledged in my yard—even against all odds!

Bluebirds do represent hope and the resurrection . . . how fitting for this time of year!!
I saw my very first bluebird the day of my father’s funeral . . . the birds were a gift and sign
from my Heavenly Father that He was taking good care of my dad!! Where would we be
without HOPE?!! Thank you for sharing this BEAUTIFUL image!!!

Create the right environment (physical or emotional) and who knows what will happen? And the experts are often wrong, aren’t they?
Your Blue Birds are precious and you portray them so beautifully.

Bonnie, these are the loveliest little birds, in the loveliest expression! And what a wonderful symbol! Check out my foxglove photos. They go with Easter to my mind also. If we could put my Foxgloves with your Bluebirds, what a photo!
