I’ve been watching a little family of chickadees and am especially enchanted by the fledglings which are exploring all sorts of new things, the birdbath being one of them. They approached with reservations, but after a splash or two, they were convinced it was as good as the bark butter they love to nibble on. It’s especially sweet when they emerge from the water and fluff up and preen. Too cute!
