Whenever we travel from our home to Baton Rouge or New Orleans, we have to cross the 18 mile long Atchafalaya Basin Bridge. I love the vast swampland and yearn to get pictures of it, but stopping is not permitted on the heavily traveled bridge so I put down the window and took some shots as my husband sped along at 60 mph. This is one of them, tweaked in Photoshop.

Beautiful image and scene . . very frustrating when you see such wonderful scenery but can’t stop anywhere :-)
what an inspiring image!! beautiful in every detail I love the softness over the sparse though tree scattered landscape, wonderful work!! well done Bonnie.
Gee! Water level’s low in the basin. Is that a new thing or what? No fishermen to be seen either. Wow! Thanks for this great shot, Bonnie! It’s like being back there.
Or is that duckweed? Kind of hard to tell. maybe the water level isn’t low…hmmm. But it’s a very nice shot. I viewed larger and it looked more like water than land. Oops….
This is incredibly beautiful, Bonnie! It’s hard to believe you got this great shot from the moving car! Excellent!
Stunning colors.. Beautiful Bonnie
An 18 mile long bridge????
A lovely image and shot from a car window too. Clever you.

Such a great capture Bonnie! I would love to get some shots off that bridge too but it seems we always cross it at night.
